Travel UGC rates in 2026

A typical travel UGC creator charges $150 per 15 to 30 second video, with most quotes between $100 and $250. That is our rate model applied to the median travel creator in our 7 October 2026 index snapshot, at 1,810 followers. Top-quartile creators (5,672+ followers) move up to micro tier and quote $225.

2026 planning estimates from our calculator model and public rate cards. Follower figures are real, from our 7 October 2026 index snapshot. The niche factor is the influencer engine's Food & travel group (1x). Production columns are our UGC rate model, which prices by follower tier only: it has no niche or country input. Posted columns are our influencer engine at platform-typical engagement, organic use and no exclusivity. How these rates are modelled.

How travel compares

Travel creators are larger than the index as a whole. The median travel creator has 1,810 followers against 1,680 across all 26,791 UGC-qualified creators, 7.7% more, which ranks travel 7th of the 18 niches we price by median following. 28% of travel creators have 5,000 or more followers, the point where our model moves a quote from nano to micro, against 22% index-wide.

The spread inside travel is wide: the top quarter starts at 5,672 followers, 7.5 times the bottom quarter's 760. That middle half straddles the nano and micro tiers, so the production quote runs from $150 at the bottom quarter to $225 at the top.

Travel sits in the influencer engine's Food & travel group at a factor of 1, the same as the lifestyle baseline, so a sponsored TikTok video from a 10,000-follower creator prices at $100 here as anywhere. Neither model charges a travel premium. At the niche median the engine's platform floor of $60 applies, which is why the posted columns barely move across the bottom three rows.

Of the 1,791 travel creators in our index, 1,596 are on Instagram and 195 on TikTok (11%). TikTok travel creators have a median of 1,438 followers against 1,924 on Instagram, 25% lower. That gap is large enough to price separately: see TikTok travel UGC rates.

46% of travel creators list a portfolio, against 34% index-wide, so more of this niche can show finished work before you commit to a rate. The deepest markets are the United States (659), the United Kingdom (431) and Italy (61).

What moves a travel quote

Travel is the one niche where the content fee is often the smaller half of the deal. A creator filming a hotel, a route or a destination is spending a day on location, and the question stops being what a video costs and becomes who pays for the day. Brands that keep those two things separate on the rate card negotiate much better than brands that try to bundle them into one number.

Who pays for the trip

A hosted stay is compensation, but it is rarely full compensation, and treating it as the whole fee is how travel deals fall apart. Price the content at the figures on this page and treat the stay as a separate provided cost, then negotiate the cash portion down if the stay is genuinely valuable.

Shooting days

Travel briefs want a destination reel, which means B-roll across several hours and locations. That is closer to the 30 to 60 second or 60 second plus rates than the 15 to 30 second rate, and the raw footage add-on is almost always worth buying because your editor will want the clips you did not specify.

Seasonality

Peak season quotes are higher for the obvious reason: the creator can sell the same day to someone else. Shoulder season is the cheapest content in this niche and often the better footage, because the locations are not full of other people's holidays.

Briefing and negotiating travel UGC

Split the brief into content and logistics, with a line between them. On the content side: the shot list, the video length, the aspect ratio and the usage term. On the logistics side: what is provided, what is reimbursed, what is not covered. Travel creators quote fast against a brief in that shape and slowly against one that mentions an amazing opportunity.

Hire in market. A creator already in the destination turns a two day trip into a two hour shoot, and the figures on this page apply cleanly. If you must fly someone, buy more content from the same trip: three videos and a photo set from one destination is far better value than one reel, because the marginal cost of the second deliverable on location is small.
