Trading UGC rates in 2026

A typical trading UGC creator charges $150 per 15 to 30 second video, with most quotes between $100 and $250. That is our rate model applied to the median trading creator in our 7 October 2026 index snapshot, at 1,589 followers. Top-quartile creators (4,265+ followers) are still nano tier, so quotes cluster tightly.

2026 planning estimates from our calculator model and public rate cards. Follower figures are real, from our 7 October 2026 index snapshot. The niche factor is the influencer engine's Finance & B2B group (1.35x). Production columns are our UGC rate model, which prices by follower tier only: it has no niche or country input. Posted columns are our influencer engine at platform-typical engagement, organic use and no exclusivity. How these rates are modelled.

How trading compares

Trading creators are smaller than the index as a whole. The median trading creator has 1,589 followers against 1,680 across all 26,791 UGC-qualified creators, 5.4% fewer, which ranks trading 9th of the 18 niches we price by median following. 22% of trading creators have 5,000 or more followers, the point where our model moves a quote from nano to micro, against 22% index-wide.

The spread inside trading is wide: the top quarter starts at 4,265 followers, 7.3 times the bottom quarter's 582. Both ends of that middle half sit in the nano tier, so the production quote for most of the niche is the same $150 figure. The variation you see in real trading quotes comes from the brief, not the audience.

Posted rates are where trading carries a premium. The influencer engine puts trading in its Finance & B2B group at a 1.35x factor, so a sponsored TikTok video from a 10,000-follower creator prices at $140 against $100 at the lifestyle baseline. Production rates carry no niche factor at all. At the niche median the engine's platform floor of $60 applies, which is why the posted columns barely move across the bottom three rows.

Of the 334 trading creators in our index, 315 are on Instagram and 19 on TikTok (5.7%).

32% of trading creators list a portfolio, against 34% index-wide, so expect to ask for samples more often before agreeing a rate. The deepest markets are the United States (177), the United Kingdom (17) and Sweden (3).

What moves a trading quote

Trading and investing content is the highest risk brief in UGC, and rates track the risk rather than the shoot. Screens, numbers and anything resembling a result attract scrutiny from platforms as well as regulators, and a video that gets rejected by an ad platform costs you the fee plus the timeline. Creators who have shipped compliant trading content before charge for that track record.

Screens and numbers

Showing a live portfolio, a P and L or a chart with figures is the most restricted content in this category. Blurred, historical or demo account footage keeps the video runnable and keeps the quote near the typical figure. Decide the screen policy in the brief, not in revisions.

Platform ad policy

Paid social platforms reject financial content aggressively. A creator who knows which framings clear review is saving you a rejected campaign, and that expertise is priced in. Ask for an example that ran in paid before agreeing a figure.

Disclaimer load

Required disclaimers eat runtime. A 15 second video with four seconds of disclaimer is an 11 second video, so trading briefs often need the 30 to 60 second rate to fit the actual message plus the legal copy.

Briefing and negotiating trading UGC

Write the screen policy, the disclaimer text and the forbidden words into the brief before anything creative. Then give the creator one idea to land, usually about the platform experience rather than the returns. A trading brief that reads like a compliance document gets better quotes than one that reads like a growth pitch, because it removes the guesswork that creators price as risk.

Buy the longer video rather than fighting the rate. A 30 to 60 second cut that fits the disclaimer prices at a 30% markup in the model and is far more likely to clear ad review than a 15 second cut that has to be re edited twice. Then reuse the cleared framing across a batch, which is where the real saving sits.
