2026 planning estimates from our calculator model and public rate cards. Follower figures are real, from our 7 October 2026 index snapshot. The niche factor is the influencer engine's Lifestyle group (1x). The engine has no productivity group, so this is the baseline. Production columns are our UGC rate model, which prices by follower tier only: it has no niche or country input. Posted columns are our influencer engine at platform-typical engagement, organic use and no exclusivity. How these rates are modelled.
Where productivity creators sit
| Tierfollower range | Creatorsof 124 | Shareof the niche | UGC video, 15 to 30stypical for the tier |
|---|---|---|---|
| Nanounder 5,000 followers | 103 | 83% | $150$100 to $250 |
| Micro and above5,000 or more, priced at micro | 21 | 17% | $225$150 to $350 |
How productivity compares
Productivity creators are smaller than the index as a whole. The median productivity creator has 1,155 followers against 1,680 across all 26,791 UGC-qualified creators, 31% fewer, which ranks productivity 16th of the 18 niches we price by median following. 17% of productivity creators have 5,000 or more followers, the point where our model moves a quote from nano to micro, against 22% index-wide.
The spread inside productivity is wide: the top quarter starts at 2,820 followers, 6.2 times the bottom quarter's 452. Both ends of that middle half sit in the nano tier, so the production quote for most of the niche is the same $150 figure. The variation you see in real productivity quotes comes from the brief, not the audience.
The influencer engine has no productivity category, so posted rates here use the lifestyle baseline factor of 1: a sponsored TikTok video from a 10,000-follower creator prices at $100. Treat it as a starting point for a niche the engine does not single out. At the niche median the engine's platform floor of $60 applies, which is why the posted columns barely move across the bottom three rows.
Of the 124 productivity creators in our index, 113 are on Instagram and 11 on TikTok (8.9%).
52% of productivity creators list a portfolio, against 34% index-wide, so more of this niche can show finished work before you commit to a rate. The deepest markets are the United States (91), France (5) and the United Kingdom (5).
What moves a productivity quote
Productivity UGC is the cheapest content to shoot and the hardest to write. The footage is a desk, a screen and a person, so there is almost no production cost, but the value sits entirely in whether the creator can explain a workflow in one breath. You are buying a script, which is why the spread between a weak and a strong productivity video is much wider than the price difference between tiers.
Workflow clarity
A brief that names the before state, the friction and the after state gets a tight video. A brief that says show how our app helps gets a tour. The tour is more expensive per useful second, and it is also the version that fails in paid.
Screen capture quality
Legible screen recording at vertical aspect ratio takes preparation: font sizes, zoom, cursor visibility. Creators who have done it before need fewer rounds, and the raw capture is worth buying so your editor can zoom and pace it properly.
Tool ecosystem
If the brief needs a paid seat, an integration or a populated account, say who provides it. A creator building a realistic workspace from scratch is doing unpaid setup, and it will either show up in the quote or show up as an empty looking demo.
Briefing and negotiating productivity UGC
Give the creator the one workflow, the one friction and the one line you want said. Provide the account, seeded with realistic data. Then say the aspect ratio and whether the cursor needs to be visible. Productivity briefs are cheap to fix at the brief stage and expensive to fix after a screen recording has already been made at the wrong zoom level.
Buy hooks rather than length. In productivity the opener decides everything, and three hook variations on one clear demo will out test a longer video at a fraction of the cost in the model. Keep the usage term short while you are testing openers, then buy a longer term on the one that holds attention.
