Beauty UGC rates in 2026

A typical beauty UGC creator charges $150 per 15 to 30 second video, with most quotes between $100 and $250. That is our rate model applied to the median beauty creator in our 7 October 2026 index snapshot, at 1,440 followers. Top-quartile creators (3,377+ followers) are still nano tier, so quotes cluster tightly.

2026 planning estimates from our calculator model and public rate cards. Follower figures are real, from our 7 October 2026 index snapshot. The niche factor is the influencer engine's Beauty & fashion group (1.1x). Production columns are our UGC rate model, which prices by follower tier only: it has no niche or country input. Posted columns are our influencer engine at platform-typical engagement, organic use and no exclusivity. How these rates are modelled.

How beauty compares

Beauty creators are smaller than the index as a whole. The median beauty creator has 1,440 followers against 1,680 across all 26,791 UGC-qualified creators, 14% fewer, which ranks beauty 11th of the 18 niches we price by median following. 17% of beauty creators have 5,000 or more followers, the point where our model moves a quote from nano to micro, against 22% index-wide.

The spread inside beauty is narrow: the top quarter starts at 3,377 followers, 4.3 times the bottom quarter's 793. Both ends of that middle half sit in the nano tier, so the production quote for most of the niche is the same $150 figure. The variation you see in real beauty quotes comes from the brief, not the audience.

Posted rates are where beauty carries a premium. The influencer engine puts beauty in its Beauty & fashion group at a 1.1x factor, so a sponsored TikTok video from a 10,000-follower creator prices at $110 against $100 at the lifestyle baseline. Production rates carry no niche factor at all. At the niche median the engine's platform floor of $60 applies, which is why the posted columns barely move across the bottom three rows.

Of the 5,512 beauty creators in our index, 4,951 are on Instagram and 561 on TikTok (10%). TikTok beauty creators have a median of 1,702 followers against 1,404 on Instagram, 21% higher. That gap is large enough to price separately: see TikTok beauty UGC rates.

43% of beauty creators list a portfolio, against 34% index-wide, so more of this niche can show finished work before you commit to a rate. The deepest markets are the United States (2,119), the United Kingdom (896) and Spain (185).

What moves a beauty quote

Beauty is one of the most quoted categories in UGC and one where brands often overpay. The deliverable looks simple, a creator applies the product and talks to camera, but the useful version needs clean daylight, a steady close-up on texture or shade, and a before and after that survives a 6 second attention window. Creators who can do all three price above the category floor and they are right to.

Shade and skin specificity

A brief that names a skin type, a shade range or a concern narrows the eligible pool fast. Narrow pools push quotes up because you are no longer choosing from the whole nano band. Widen the concern, or book two creators instead of one perfect one, and the per video figure drops back toward the typical figure.

Close-up and texture work

Macro shots of texture, swatches and application need a second light and a phone mount. Creators who own that setup treat it as a production line item rather than a favour, and the raw footage add-on is where it shows up, because you are paying for the unedited swatch clips your editor will actually cut.

Claim handling

Beauty briefs carry regulated language. Every extra approval round, script lock or legal rewrite is unpaid work for the creator unless you price it in, so a brief with a fixed claim list and one revision round quotes lower than an open ended one. Say the revision count out loud in the brief.

Briefing and negotiating beauty UGC

The cheapest beauty brief is a specific one. Name the product, the single claim, the shot you need in the first 2 seconds, and the aspect ratio. Then say what you will not ask for: no studio lighting, no paid boosting beyond the stated term, no reshoot for a colour grade preference. A creator quoting against a vague beauty brief prices the worst case, and the worst case in beauty is four rounds of shade correction.

Bundle before you haggle. Three videos from one beauty creator at the typical per video figure is a better trade than one video pushed to the low end, because the second and third shoot reuse the same setup and the creator keeps the margin. If you need the low end of the range, offer a longer lead time and organic only rights first, then add the paid usage term later as a separate line once a video performs.
