2026 planning estimates from our calculator model and public rate cards. Follower figures are real, from our 7 October 2026 index snapshot. The niche factor is the influencer engine's Fitness & wellness group (1.05x). Production columns are our UGC rate model, which prices by follower tier only: it has no niche or country input. Posted columns are our influencer engine at platform-typical engagement, organic use and no exclusivity. How these rates are modelled.

How mental health compares
Mental health creators are smaller than the index as a whole. The median mental health creator has 986 followers against 1,680 across all 26,791 UGC-qualified creators, 41% fewer, which ranks mental health 18th of the 18 niches we price by median following. 6.9% of mental health creators have 5,000 or more followers, the point where our model moves a quote from nano to micro, against 22% index-wide.
The spread inside mental health is narrow: the top quarter starts at 2,068 followers, 4.4 times the bottom quarter's 472. Both ends of that middle half sit in the nano tier, so the production quote for most of the niche is the same $150 figure. The variation you see in real mental health quotes comes from the brief, not the audience.
Posted rates are where mental health carries a premium. The influencer engine puts mental health in its Fitness & wellness group at a 1.05x factor, so a sponsored TikTok video from a 10,000-follower creator prices at $105 against $100 at the lifestyle baseline. Production rates carry no niche factor at all. At the niche median the engine's platform floor of $60 applies, which is why the posted columns barely move across the bottom three rows.
Of the 378 mental health creators in our index, 356 are on Instagram and 22 on TikTok (5.8%).
32% of mental health creators list a portfolio, against 34% index-wide, so expect to ask for samples more often before agreeing a rate. The deepest markets are the United States (347), the United Kingdom (18) and Italy (1).
What moves a mental health quote
Wellness and mental health UGC is the niche where the brief matters more than the budget. A creator is being asked to speak about something personal, on camera, for a brand, and the terms of that, how much they disclose, how long it runs, whether it can be boosted, carry more weight than the per video figure. Get the terms right and the rate is ordinary.
Depth of disclosure
There is a large difference between a creator describing a routine and a creator describing a diagnosis. The second is a much bigger ask, should carry a shorter usage term, and belongs at the top of the band. Decide which one you actually need before you brief.
Claim safety
Wellness briefs drift toward medical claims. Keeping the language to experience rather than outcome keeps the video usable and the quote reasonable, and it avoids the revision spiral that follows a legal review.
Usage term sensitivity
Personal content running in paid media for a year is a genuinely different product from the same video running organically for a month. Expect creators to price the usage line here harder than the production line, and expect some to cap it.
Briefing and negotiating mental health UGC
Say what you are asking the creator to share, and what you are not. State the usage term and whether the video can be boosted from your handle or theirs. Offer an approval step where the creator can pull a line after seeing the edit. In this niche that clause costs nothing and it is the difference between a hesitant quote and a confident one.
Trade term length for rate. A shorter paid usage window is worth more to a wellness creator than a higher fee, and it costs you less than you think if you are still testing creative. Then extend the term on the one video that works, which the model prices as a clean incremental line rather than a renegotiation.
