The point of writing it down is not the numbers, it is that a brand reading a structured card asks about scope rather than about discount. Every line is optional, so a brand that needs less pays less, which removes the main reason quotes get pushed back on.

2026 planning estimates from our calculator model and public rate cards. Not a quote, and not drawn from our creator database. Production rows are per finished asset, add-on and rights rows are per video. Every figure is derived from the same model as the UGC rate calculator.
Estimate your own brief
The same model as the table, with your inputs. Nothing is sent anywhere and there is no signup.
The nine lines, with figures
At micro tier, which is 5,000 to 25,000 followers, our model gives: 15 to 30 second video $225, 30 to 60 second video $295, video over 60 seconds $360, photo set of five edited images $225, raw footage pack of ten clips $200, raw footage add-on $70 per video, hook variation $45 each, paid usage 3 months $55 per video, whitelisting $70 per video.
The same card at nano tier, under 5,000 followers: video $150, photo set $175, raw footage add-on $50, hook variation $30, 3 month usage $40, whitelisting $45. At mid tier, 25,000 to 100,000: video $375, photo set $350, 3 month usage $95.
How to write the rights lines so they hold
Express rights as a percentage of production rather than as a fixed figure, because that is how they scale and it is how brands understand them. Three months of paid usage is 25% of production, six months 50%, twelve months 100%, whitelisting 30%, and category exclusivity on the same three shares as usage.
Then add two sentences most cards miss. When the usage term starts, which should be first paid impression rather than delivery. And what is not included, which is normally travel, props, paid media spend, and unlimited revisions. Naming the revision count is the single most valuable line on the card for protecting an effective hourly rate.
Making the card credible
A rate card is a claim, and a portfolio is the evidence for it. Three finished videos that look like the brief a brand is about to send will support a figure that no follower count can. Across our index of 24,032 UGC-qualified creators, a visible portfolio is still the exception, which makes it an unusually cheap advantage.
Keep the card as a structure you send with figures filled in per brief, rather than a public price list. A published figure anchors you at whatever you wrote last quarter. A published structure filters out briefs that were never going to fit, which is most of the value anyway.
Sending the card without losing the deal
Send the card with a specific recommendation rather than as a menu. Name the package you think fits the brief, give the total, and list the card underneath so the brand can see what each part cost. A menu asks the buyer to do the work and invites them to cut the wrong line; a recommendation with the arithmetic visible closes faster and protects the rights lines, which are the ones a brand will cut first if given the choice.
Then hold one thing back. An extra hook variation, the raw footage, or a faster turnaround makes a good concession later without touching the production fee. Every card should have something on it you are willing to give away, because a negotiation where your only move is the headline rate is a negotiation you lose.
Keep a dated copy of every card you send. When a brand comes back four months later referring to a price, you want to know exactly what that price included, and a versioned card settles the question in one message instead of turning into a negotiation you already had.
Questions people ask
What should a UGC rate card include?
Nine lines: video by length, photo set, raw footage pack, raw footage add-on, hook variations, paid usage by term, whitelisting, exclusivity and rush. Every line optional and priced separately.
How do I price usage rights on a rate card?
As a percentage of production: 25% for 3 months, 50% for 6 months, 100% for 12 months and 30% for whitelisting in our model. Percentages scale correctly across tiers, fixed figures do not.
Should a UGC rate card show follower count?
It can, but lead with the portfolio. UGC is bought as production, so what a brand is assessing is whether your last videos look like what they need.
