Influencer discovery

Influencer discovery tools: how each one finds creators.

An influencer discovery platform finds creators through filters, AI search or lookalikes. Modash and HypeAuditor lead on audience filters, Favikon and Stellar are mid-priced AI search tools, Upfluence and GRIN fold discovery into program suites, CreatorIQ is the enterprise option, and UGC Agent (ours) searches live from a written brief for UGC creators, from $29/month.

Short answer

Discovery tools differ less in database size than in how you search: filters on audience data, AI search from a description, lookalikes of creators you like, or an agent that reads profiles against a brief.

Pick an audience-first tool if

you pay creators for reach and filter on audience country, age and authenticity. Modash, HypeAuditor and Favikon are built for that.

Pick UGC Agent if

you describe the creator you need in plain English and want a scored shortlist of UGC creators with emails, each with the reasons it matched.

Pick a program suite if

discovery is one step in a program you want to run in one place, with outreach, contracts and payments: GRIN, Upfluence or CreatorIQ.

The options

The platforms, one by one

UGC Agent is first because it is ours and it searches for a narrower group: UGC creators. The numbered platforms follow, audience-first tools first, then suites.

UA

UGC Agent

Brief-driven AI search + UGC databaseOur product

Best for: Finding UGC creators from a written brief

Published price: Pro $29/mo, Premium $59/mo, Ultra $199/mo; 3-day free trial

Super Search takes a plain-English brief (niche, country, follower range, content format, exclusions), reads public Instagram and TikTok profiles live, scores each creator out of 15 with the reasons attached, and keeps only creators with a public email. Seed handles find lookalikes, and UGC Brands shows which creators already post for a competitor. The same search runs from Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor over MCP on Premium.

Pick it if you source creators to film content for your ads or clients and want a shortlist you can audit.

Watch for: no audience demographics or fake-follower checks, Instagram and TikTok only, and no contracts or payments.

5

Upfluence

Pick it if you want discovery, affiliates and payouts in one system without an annual contract.

Watch for: included credits reset monthly and do not roll over.

See GRIN alternatives.

Step by step

How to test an influencer discovery tool in a trial

Use one real brief in every trial so the results are comparable.

  1. Write one real brief

Niche, country, follower range, platform and the content you need. Keep it the same in every tool.

  2. Search three ways

Keywords, a lookalike of a creator you already like, and an AI description where the tool offers one. Note which method surfaces creators you did not already know.

  3. Open twenty results

Check recent posts, not just stats. Count how many you would actually contact.

  4. Check the contact route

How many results have a usable email, and how many unlocks or credits did that cost?

  5. Price a year of real use

Add the seats, unlocks, credits and modules you would need for twelve months, then compare.

Influencer search engine or discovery platform?

An influencer search engine returns profiles that match keywords and filters; a discovery platform adds the work around the search, such as lookalikes, vetting, lists and outreach. Every tool here does both to some degree. The useful difference is what the search runs on: an index of audience data (Modash, HypeAuditor), your customer list (Upfluence), an AI agent paid in credits (GRIN), or a live read of public profiles against a brief (UGC Agent).

Free search exists too. TikTok and Instagram search cost nothing but have no follower, country or email filter, which is the gap the paid tools fill.

Our product

Where UGC Agent fits, and where it does not

UGC Agent is a discovery tool for UGC creators. Super Search reads public Instagram and TikTok profiles live against your brief and explains every match. The same search runs from Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or Codex over MCP on Premium ($59/month), and from your own code over the developer API on Ultra ($199/month, 100 job-creating calls a day and 2,000 a month).

It does not report audience demographics or fake-follower scores, covers Instagram and TikTok only, and does not run contracts or payments. If reach is what you pay for, use an audience-first tool for the final vetting.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

What is the best influencer discovery platform?

It depends on what you pay creators for. For reach with audience data: Modash (from $199/month billed yearly) or HypeAuditor. For AI search under $300 a month: Favikon or Stellar. For discovery inside a program suite: GRIN or Upfluence. For enterprise: CreatorIQ. For UGC creators with emails: UGC Agent, from $29/month.

What is an influencer search engine?

A tool that searches creator profiles by keyword, niche, location and follower count, usually with audience filters and contact details. Discovery platforms add lookalikes, lists and outreach on top.

Can AI find influencers for me?

Several tools now search from a description. Modash has AI and image search, Favikon is AI-powered, GRIN's agent Gia runs on credits, Upfluence has Jaice, and UGC Agent's Super Search reads profiles live from a brief and explains every match.

Is there a free influencer discovery tool?

Heepsy has a free tier, Qoruz a free plan, HypeAuditor a free start and GRIN a free plan with 50 credits. UGC Agent has a free UGC creator search tool; its paid plans start with a 3-day free trial.

Is this list sponsored?

No. UGC Agent has no affiliate or referral relationship with any company listed. UGC Agent is our product, which is why it is marked separately.
