TikTok Creative Center

TikTok Creative Center is TikTok's research hub showing top-performing ads, trending hashtags, songs and creators, used to plan and brief TikTok ad creative.

What TikTok Creative Center is

TikTok Creative Center is a research hub run by TikTok for advertisers and creators. It shows top-performing ads filtered by region, industry and objective, plus trend pages for hashtags, songs, creators and videos, and inspiration tools for planning ads. Brands use it to see what is working on TikTok before they brief creators, without needing to spend first.

It is a research tool, not a hiring one. Finding and contracting creators happens in TikTok Creator Marketplace, now part of TikTok One. And unlike the Meta Ad Library, which lists every running ad, Creative Center curates ads TikTok ranks as top performers and shows some engagement signals alongside them.

How brands use it for UGC

Start in Top Ads with your industry and target region. Watch the first three seconds of the leaders and note how they open, whether a person is on camera, and how the product is introduced. Then check the trend pages for sounds and hashtags rising in your category, keeping in mind that business accounts can only use cleared audio.

Feed that into a creator brief as direction: the opening style, the format and a track from the Commercial Music Library. For how those briefs become Spark Ads and in-feed ads, read our guide to TikTok UGC ads.

A worked example

A skincare brand filters Top Ads to beauty in the US. Most of the top results open on a close-up of skin with a spoken problem, and several use a split-screen comparison. The brand also notices a rising song in the trend pages that is available for commercial use.

Its brief to six creators asks for a skin close-up in the first second, a spoken problem, and the cleared song at low volume under the voice. Two of the six also try a split-screen version, so the brand can test the structure it saw against its usual talking head.

Common mistakes

Treating Top Ads as a template to copy. The ads are ranked on TikTok's own measures across many advertisers, so they show what tends to hold attention, not what will sell your product. Use them to choose what to test, then test it in your own account.

Pulling a trending sound from the trend pages without checking its license is the other trap. Many songs trending with users are not cleared for business use, and an ad built on one can be muted or rejected. Filter for commercial music before the creator films anything.

How it's used

  1. Creative Center top ads in our category nearly all open on a face, not the product. Let's brief that way this round.

  2. That song is trending, but check it's in the commercial library before anyone films to it.
