TikTok Creator Marketplace

TikTok Creator Marketplace is TikTok's own platform for brands to find, brief and pay creators; since 2024 it sits inside TikTok One.

What TikTok Creator Marketplace is

TikTok Creator Marketplace, often shortened to TCM, is TikTok's official platform for connecting brands with creators for paid collaborations. Brands search creators using first-party TikTok data such as audience demographics and performance, then invite them to campaigns and manage the work in one place. In 2024 TikTok folded it into TikTok One, its wider hub for creators, agencies and ad creative.

It is one specific creator marketplace, limited to creators who opted in on TikTok. That differs from the commission-based TikTok Shop affiliate program. And it is separate from the TikTok Creative Center, which is for researching ads rather than hiring.

How brands use it

The draw is verified data. Audience location, age and engagement come from TikTok rather than a screenshot, which cuts the vetting work. Brands post campaign briefs that creators apply to, or invite creators directly, and can connect the resulting posts to Spark Ads for paid amplification.

The limit is reach into the pool. Only creators who joined and meet TikTok's eligibility thresholds appear, and many UGC creators who make content for brands' ad accounts rather than their own feeds are not there. Teams often pair it with outside search, such as the TikTok UGC creator finder, to cover both.

A worked example

A snack brand launching in the UK filters the marketplace for food creators with a mostly UK audience and invites twelve to a campaign with a short brief and a fixed fee. Seven accept, post their videos, and authorise them for paid use through TikTok's ad authorisation.

The brand then runs the three best as Spark Ads. For ad-only footage it wants without any posting obligation, it hires separate UGC creators found outside the marketplace and pays for usage rights on the raw files.

Common mistakes

Assuming TikTok's data replaces vetting. It shows audience and reach, not whether a creator's style fits your brand or whether their comment sections are healthy. Watch recent posts before inviting anyone, as in any creator vetting step.

Letting the platform's workflow stand in for the contract. Usage windows, exclusivity and revision terms still need to be agreed and written down. A campaign invite sets deliverables inside TikTok; it does not settle what you may do with the footage elsewhere.

How it's used

  1. TCM is inside TikTok One now. Log in there and filter for UK food creators with an 18 to 34 audience.

  2. The marketplace covers the posting creators. For pure ad footage we're sourcing UGC creators outside it.
